Shelia,
If everyone would send even a partical of the info you have in this message, we would all be blessed. Maybe I am just a cranky old lady, but it gets my goat to see so many long emails with out names and places and at least some indication of time element. I like something to get my teeth in and say "hey that is the person that lived next to my ancestor, signed his will, was listed as a buyer of the estate sale for the probate. The smallest clue will sometimes give you a great connection to exchange info. Good luck in your research and maybe this will spur other researchers to do as you have. Johnnye

Since I recently joined RootsL, I thought I would list some of the Surnames
I am researching to see if anyone else is working on the same ones. The
states or Countries listed are where in the family began, or I should say where I
have traced them to mostly far from where they began.

AYERS/AYRES--Mass. & New York MUNN--England
BEEBE--Conn. ASH--Virginia
WARD--Virginia
BAKER/BECKER--Germany
STEWART--Pennsylvania WELLS--Pennsylvania
ZENER/ZENOR--Germany MILLER--Indiana
?
THEOBALD--Germany HAEHL--Germany
PETTIGREW--Indiana ? KUHN--Germany
SWINFORD--Indiana ? LAIRD--Vermont
WERTZ--Germany LAWRENCE--South
Carolina
GARRINGER/GERRINGER--Germany
COLVIN--Kentucky
McINTOSH--Conn.

And many more. Some of my brick walls, are John Stewart born around 1776 in
Pennsylvania, it turns out Stewart's were all over Pennsylvania, and finding
the family of Sarah Ann Ward born 1797 in Virginia.

Anyone out there working on the same Surnames?

Sheila Kell
