Sorry that I gave too little info first. My grand-uncle John Edwards (Johan Edvardsen Lillebakk in Norway) was born October 15, 1894. His parents were: (Nils) Edvard Nilsen Lillebakk and Ellen Birgitte Johannesdatter. His parents could not be registred as "Jacob" and "Enia" (I believe). John Edward's father used name Edvard (so it could be used Edwardsen); but his first baptise name was Nils (so it could also be used Nilsen). John Edwards is not listed in the emmigrant protocols in Norway; so have not found any help in the Ship lists. John Edvards left Norway as sailor (he could then be 16-17 years old); without any registration about going to USA. My granduncle John Edwards died January 23rd, 1973. He might be at Floor Hills Cemetery in Everett. Year and month fits with the John Edwards you found; but not the date: 23rd vs 27th. Now I got input from Jeremy Millard about John Edwards in the Social Security Death Index (with correct birth date Oct 15). Last Residence: 98201, Everett, Snohomish, WA. SSN: 535-10-1179. But do they have departements in WA? John Edwards had (as I know) no children. But about 1927-30 he married one woman who had a son; so John Edwards had a stepson.
