First of all; I wish you all the best for the new year 2006 !

A brother of my grandfather lived in Everett, Washington. His name was Johan Edvardsen Lillebakk; born 1894 in Oerlandet in Trondelag. He emigrated to USA about 1910-12; and was some years in Alaska, untill he settled in Everett bout 1917. There he had some years occupation on fishing boats; and most of the years he worked as a "long-shore man" in Everett. In USA he had the name John Edwards. He died in 1973.

Since he most of the time worked as a "longshore man"; I hope there is possible to find some information about my grand-uncle from the archives in the companies he was employed. Maybe there are such "transport-companies", "port-companies"; or any port authorities where can be found information about Jon Edwards. Information about his employment, what type of work, any pictures, etc, etc.

Is there anybody who can give me some advice about how to fidn such information. And other type of information about John Edwards from all the years he lived in Everett. Other type of archives? How to find his obituary (1973)?

Best regards,
Per Vidar
Med vennlig hilsen
