Subject: [ROOTS-L] How was I when I started my genealogy

I was 18 years old and the year was 1965.  Both of my grandmothers were still living and I got a lot of information from them.  I worked on my family tree off and on for a couple decades but it took the advent of computers and the Internet before I began working on it regularly.   I have enjoyed exchanging information with many distant cousins whom I've never met.
