Subject: [ROOTS-L] Started searching

I am an only child and started my genealogy twenty years ago when my last
parent died. I have not done much research for the last several years as I
have had family illness, a death and a bout with cancer. Things are looking
up and I need to start again. My main brickwall is a surname that I almost
never see in print-RUNCIE, RUNCHEY, RINCHEY. Adam RUNCIE was born ca 1722
place unknown to me and died ca 1789 in Duplin Co NC. His known children are
Margaret who married John COX, Jane who married Joseph COX (my ancestors),
Mary who married James COX, and possibly a Sarah who died before 1800. In
the last 20 years I've only come across two other RUNICE researchers.

I love genealogy and my other surnames are: DUFFY, DOWNER, CORNELIUS,
MERCER, LOCKLIN, FULCHER, ZACHRY, McLENNAN, FOLKS, ROEBUCK, PURVIS,
ARMSTRONG, GREEN, HAY, McKINNON, BLACKSTONE, CAST.

HAPPY NEW YEAR to all.

Bobbie
