Subject: [ROOTS-L] How old were you when you got started in genealogy? What got you  started?

One thread that runs through everyone's comments is gratefulness for
the help from others in finding clues.  My kids gave me FTM last
Christmas, so I've only been at this for a year.  I didn't have much
to go on, as my mother (now gone), left only cryptic notes, and I
wasn't even sure of her mother's maiden name.  In the last year I've
found multiple third cousins, second cousins and figured out that what
was "gospel" may not have been totally true, when it came to the lives
of my relatives.  With the ups and downs of these discoveries, the
positive has far outweighed the negative, and yes, I'm hooked....!
Better late than never!
