Subject: [ROOTS-L] Re: ROOTS-L Digest V06 #93

I personally found that you need to give them plenty of time. I had an
experience with my ex husbands father. I knew his name, and looked him up. I
found him and his death in 1992 and so i left a postit and then forgot about
it and got busy with other things. He had come to visit some time after that
and asked me about it. I went back into the WC and found that my ex husband
had a half sister and had posted back to me that she was the daughter of the
same man and knew of my ex and had wondered for50 some years if he knew
about her. I e-mailed her back, and now they have connected and talk on the
phone and e-mail all the time. They are also planning a visit together very
soon. So waiting is so worth your time. You never know who you are going to
find. The thing about all this was that i found her on his birthday last
year. called and talked to her and then called him and told him and he
called and talked to her on his birthday. so that was a very nice memory to
have. He will always remember when he found his only sister. I find this a
very good way to connect with family members. Just my experience with
waiting.
