I never share data about living people unless I know the person receiving the
data very well and have informed them, and they agreed, not to put the data on
the internet or any other public place. Passing information about living
people to distant (and sometimes not so distant) relatives without stating the
conditions is asking for trouble. Casual acquaintances even if they are
relatives does not assure anything unless you "know" they will comply with your
wishes.
