Subject: [ROOTS-L] James Maynard--Joseph H. Sands

Mea culpa.
James Maynard, as some of you told me, could not have died in the civil war
in 1867.
I've rechecked his pension records, not the notes I'd typed in FTM, and
found he died of typhoid, 25 March 1863, on the hospital ship, "Memphis," on the
Mississippi River between the states of MS and LA.
I should have edited the message one more time.
I apologize.
His widow found, thanks to Dan Horsby's research, married Joseph H. SANDS
and they were found in 1870 and 1880 Winona, Minn.

If anyone is interested in the SANDS, I found Joseph in Winona in 1860 with
his first wife and children.
