S. I have a question for those in the know. I had searched for an R. S. Bankston's name and found that it was Ruebens so I assumed that was what the R. S. stood for and it probably does. However, I've been searching now through the Georgia Land Lottery of 1827 and I found other Bankstons; one of whom was Bankston, Abner R.S.; another, Bankston, Elijah R. S. Then, I noticed throughout the list, others like Barber, Mary w R.S. Can anyone tell me what the R.S. is in these listings? Have you seen it as a title, or such? Appreciate the answers. Thx.
