I believe that death certificates normally list both .... giving the
address/place of residence.  And giving the location/county of death.  And
most often you will also find the name of the cemetery and the address of
the cemetery .... the same for the funeral home.
     Often a researcher will try to avoid the cost of documents
(understandable at the high cost and when we have a lot of family members)
but there are so many clues on both birth and death certificates that one
should always try to obtain the certificate ... or a copy of.  Ask members
of the family first if they can provide a photocopy - and also check the
funeral home (they usually are the ones who record the death and a copy
normally will be returned to them) - before you pay vital statistics for
one, unless for some reason you need a certified copy.
