Hi Dee,

In a case like you describe below, I believe that the proper
thing to do is to include a supporting note attached to the
event fact that the listed location is in the present day county
of Xxxxxx and state of XX.  This supporting documentation
should provide you the reminder that you need and I know that
it is easy to do with the Family Origins genealogy program
that I use.
