If you have no idea where he lived before he went to America, you are
looking at a big search. At least if you had any clue as to where he lived,
it may reduce your search time.

Subject: [ROOTS-L] Dennison/Profiler Map site

> The Brit's tell me, I am whistling in the dark.
> My problem is I know my brick wall ancestor came to the Colonies in 1746
from England as he had a land grant from King George II. Where in England?
I haven't a clue. They suggested I BUY A MAP OF ENGLAND and then start
searching with GENUKI (free and hosted by Roots web) and by using GOOGLE,
FAMILY SEARCH, and using the profiler map as a guide to possible areas of
the UK the DENSON families resided. Also, the GENUKI offers sites for the
various counties (Shires) and from subscribing to possible SHIRE sites, I am
gathering other resources in which to search. Therefore, I am still
whistling through England learning lots, and meeting knowledgeable people
who are willing to help.
