Judy,

Do you have a dry cleaner in your area that does wedding gowns?  I would try
them.  They may ask you to sign a release. A good dry cleaner will not
attempt anything if he/she doesn't think it will help. I know that when a
wedding gown that has sequins glued on, they will be lost in dry cleaning.
The dry cleaning fluid does dissolve glue.
