Subject: [ROOTS-L] How can I prove relationship

I have found what I believe is an ancestors parents. The British marriage record only lists her name (Sarah HICKLING) On the British 1821 Census she is listed as head of household under her married name of GAZEY I found a birth record at the IGI for Sarah HICKLING. The area where she was born is correct, Can someone tell me how I prove this is the correct person. I don't know where to look next. Many thanks!
