Subject: [ROOTS-L] unrolling document

I had this problem with my high school class photo from 1961. I bought an
under bed size plastic box. I put a smaller box inside and laid my rolled
photo on top of it. Next to this, I placed a container with water in it and
put the cover on the under bed box. The photo needed moisture to enable it
to be successfully unrolled. It took several days. I checked every other day
or so until it was supple enough to be unrolled and then I placed it on a
flat surface with a heavy book on top to flatten it. It worked beautifully
and my photo is now in a frame. I did this last year.
Carolyn
