Subject: [ROOTS-L] Re: ROOTS-L Digest V06 #60 Document preservation

Rose...Perhaps you live near an University or a large research library. They
 often restore books of value.
Some years back I was in Death Valley,Ca. in one of the abandoned town sites
at the southern edge of the valley.
I located a curved tobacco can with a paper inside. All dry and very frail.
It was certain I could not unfold it.
After some time I contacted the Huntington Library in Pasadena,Ca. And a
gentleman by the name of John Tank restored this paper.

I am the proud owner of the claim to Greenwater, that abandoned town site in
Death Valley,Ca.
If you are in the area and go to the Valley Museum there is a claim for
Greenwater on view. It is a fake as I own the original filing for that site.

There is hope for folks like us because there is help out there.

GOOD LUCK....... PJ Mathon
