Subject: [ROOTS-L] Computer or "Snail Mail"Courtesy

In answer to Suzanne, I answer ALL inquiries, whether it pertains to my family or not. To me, answering e-mails or letters is only common courtesy. I have searched ALL the descendants of the midwestern Highnote (Hinote) family for 36 years now. Since these are the descendants of only 2 brothers, if someone writes to me about the southern family, I know that putting them in touch with the main southern researcher, they possibly will find the information they are looking for. In the future, these people might be able to help you with that piece of information you have been searching long and hard for. When answering e-mails or "snail mail", I always respond with what I am searching for also. It helps, believe me! Word about what you are searching for does get around. This has been proven to me many times over the years. Mary Putman in Washington
