Most likely since it is 120 plus years ago the copywrite ran out.  However, 
check the frontispiece for the publisher....if still in business, contact 
them.  Also, Google has many sites to answer Qs about copywrited material. 
I believe that there is a time limit for copywrites before the item enters 
public domain.

I have an 1895 "Aids in Geography, National Geographic Monographs of the 
Physical Features of the Earth's Surface" which has 34 maps in color.  Very 
interesting but no individual state maps.  Copyrighted in 1881.  How would I 
find out if it still is copyrighted ?  If there is NO copy right, I would be 
willing to make copies for anyone.        Dorothy
