Subject: [ROOTS-L] FAY Family Reunion 350th Anniversary

Dear Folks
The FAY Family Reunion / 350th Anniversary of the arrival of John FAY
Sr./1 (1648-1690), will be held between June 24 and July 5,2006 in
Marlborough, MA. The Reunion is in 3 parts to facilitate the needs of
various individuals in the FAY family. Part 1 is June 24-June 29 and will
have a Banquet, a visit to Plimouth Settlement, and Sturbridge Village, if
I can get it arranged. The second part, from June 29-June 3 is for
research and cemetery visits. The third part is July 4th to experience
Independence Day in Boston, MA.
I have put out an initial announcement on the <FAY-L@rootsweb.com>, our
family subscription list. More information will be posted there.
However, I have lost, or perhaps you have changed your e-mails, or at
least 40% of you have done this. Therefore, if you are interested please
contact me at my e-mail, or by writing to FAY Family Gathering of
Washington, DC, 12131 Long Ridge Lane, Bowie, MD 20715. Several people
have died and I have not been informed of this until this month. So please
contact me as soon as possible to be included. Please take my e-mail from
the routing information.
All descendants of John FAY Sr./1 (1648-1690) and his two wives, Mary
BRIGHAM Fay and Susanna SHATTUCK Morse Fay Brigham, are welcome. There
are about 18,000-19,000 persons of the FAY surname in the United States of
America. About 3/4 of these are descendants of John FAY, plus the
outmarriages to WARD, OAKES, PRATT, ROBINSON, and others, have about the
same number of descendants. Adopted children of a descendant of John FAY
are also welcome. Please respond by March 15, 2006 if at all possible.
I am going to be in MA from Friday for about 10-12 days to start getting
hotels and the banquet arrangements made. My husband Bob will be "minding"
the computer at home and will get me additional information as it comes in.
Thank you for your patience with this announcement. Details will be on
the above list from now on.
Sincerely
Mary (FAY) Nelson 9
