Subject: [ROOTS-L] List of sources

In a message dated 2/7/2006 10:56:58 A.M. Eastern Standard Time,
ROOTS-L-request@rootsweb.com writes:

|An expert (whose name, alas, I forget) said something like
|"Don't show me your data. Show me your list of sources."

I was discussing this very thing this morning and realized that I have as
many pages of sources and documentation as I have data in my Johannes Conrad
Mohr manuscript..
It seems the sources online are multiplying more rapidly than I can keep up.
When I find the sources are more than twice the data, I'm done! Who would
want to read a family history book that has a person and 30 footnotes?
Another person and 20 footnotes.
I am, after all, writing for family enjoyment, not for professional
genealogists.
Document, yes, but don't be boring with it.
