Subject: [ROOTS-L] Thank you for Maynard data

I'm so sorry, I was so involved in the Maynard stuff that I neglected to
tell you how much I appreciate your checking for me.
You are most kind.
There are so many Maynards it's easy to go astray. I swear the name William
goes back to 1680's SSX, England and comes forward even to today.
Alfred, James, Thomas, they continue on and on.
Once in a great while a mother will impose her own family names on a
Maynard, but usually, William will show up.

So you did a great job and I thank you very much. I should have listed my
sources when I wrote my request but didn't want to overwhelm a reader. I
would very much like to have just the Columbiana Co., OH material. I have posted
in genforum.com Columbiana Co. and hope someone will recognize something on
Albert Maynard.

And my husband has given a DNA sample. It was interesting in that it did
not have the Celtic gene. It had the Normandy/Viking gene. Reminded me that
the Huguenots were French and many of the Maynard were Huguenots, more than
likely escaping Catholic France about the time mine showed up in England and
others in the new world.

Those Maynards/Manors/Minors who are able to connect their DNA to my
husband's will find a great deal of documented information waiting for them.

Shirley Maynard
Hampton, VA.
