Subject: [ROOTS-L] Re: help with FTM

Can someone receive a FTM file if they don't have the FTM program?? I have
sent my FTM file to a number of people and some of them don't receive it --
after checking the ones that don't receive it they don't have the FTM
program --
another question, is there a way I can send it so the people who don't have
FTM
can receive it,

Bob-

Create a GEDCOM (GEnealogical Data COMmunication) file from your FTM file
and send that to the people who don't have the FTM program. They can import
the GEDCOM into whatever genealogy program they have and view it just as you
view your file in FTM. GEDCOM is a format that allows people with dissimilar
genealogy programs to share files.
