Subject: [ROOTS-L] RE: ROOTS-L Digest V06 #50

A recent post by huggins_huggins@yahoo.com lists family bios contained in
the book "History of Wetzel Co. WV 1983," which I gather is difficult to
find. There is a place where you can list surnames contained in family
trees in published books, without having to computerize them and provide
GEDCOM (or make your email address public): www.FamilyTreeRegistry.org.
When registering the tree, select "published" as the availability, and
provide bibliographic info (title, author, etc.) in the reference field.
That way, people searching for the surnames, but unaware of the book, will
learn its contents are of interest to them.

I encourage the same for any other books, especially out-of-print, rare,
etc. containing family trees.
