Subject: [ROOTS-L] prison records

Hi everyone,
  I was wondering if anyone on the list knows anything
about getting prison records, or if that is even
possible.  My grandfather was incarcerated back in the
early or mid 60s for robbing a bank, and if any
records exist about this, I would like to be able to
get copies for my files.  He passed away when I was
younger, and it's not something my father (his son)
likes to talk about, so I didn't want to press him for
any of the details.  I believe he was in a federal
prison in Trenton, NJ, but I am not sure of the rest
of the details.  Any assistance would be greatly
appreciated!
