Subject: [ROOTS-L] Jane & LeRoy Scissom/Sissom

Hi Gang,
   
  We find Jane Scissom with son, LeRoy, living in the household of Alexander English/Inglis in 1860 Warren County, Tennessee.  It is my belief that Nancy English is the daughter of Jane Byford Sissom.  Jane was married to Henry Sissom, who died between 03 Nov 1846 - 25 Mar 1847 in Cannon County, Tennessee.
   
  Nancy Caroline Sissom married Andrew Smith Inglis c. 1851 -  1852 and had known children Sarah, Mary, John before 1860 and Minnie and George after 1860.
   
  Now that raises a question as to who may be the father of LeRoy?  Also, how can Jane be the mother? She would have had to be 48 years old when she had LeRoy.  While this is possible, it is unlikely.
   
  Have any of you encountered LeRoy Sissom after 1860?
   
  Have you encountered Jane Sissom after 1860?
   
  Appreciate any help or suggestions.
