I want to know the names of his parents and syblings. Someone has suggested he lived and married 1st in New Hanover County, NC. All I really know about this elusive ancester is He was in Abbeville, SC, 4 Apr 1776 when he enlisted in the 3rd, later 5th, SC Regiment. His 1st child was born 1778. He and first wife had 5 children. He remarred 1792/1793 to Mary Cook. Their first child was born late in 1793. He and 2nd wife had 5 children. He died intestate pre Nov 1811 when his wife and son applied to administer his estate. That is such a pitiful amount to know about anyone. I hope some one can help me learn more about where Thomas Donaldson came from. I have been looking for years and years. Thank you. Gloria Donaldson Wells
