Well, it is probably that people just don't take time to think ... some
family researchers have more expertise than others - some will pay attention
to their spelling and grammar (although we all on occasion make mistakes).

Short & Sweet is the best method ... HELP - and list the name, location,
time
Example: HELP - BEVERLY AL 1830s
Forget the > "Roots-L Digest.#...." > because I'm too busy to go look up
what it said! The others don't grab me either - > "No Subject"
> "Unidentified Subject"
don't do anything for me either. Does the writer think that if there is no
subject or unidentified subject, I'll go ahead and read it - No. I do not.

Short & Sweet in the body of the message as well. I do not have time to
wade though a mountain of names, locations and dates with non-essential
information in between.

I want to help any way I can, but we all need to remember that when we are
asking for help, the other person may be busy, have a full-time job, little
kiddies to look after - and we should be considerate of their time.

Just my opinion, for whatever its worth.
