  S/Sgt. Raymond Louis Champoux
  
      Raymond Louis Champoux born October 19, 1932 in Woonsoket, Rhode Island son of Ovila Champoux and Gladys La Valle/ Champoux. He had three brothers Robert, George, and Henry Champoux. He had one sister Constant Louth. Ray was baptized in the St. Anthony Catholic Church in Woonsoket, Rhode Island.
   
   
  In 1938 he was in first grade in Providence, Rhode Island. Ray Champoux attended Roger Williams Junior High School in Providence, Rhode Island. His favorite subjects were Math and History. Ray went to the 10th grade at Hope High School in Providence, Rhode Island. Ray was a Line Backer on the Hope High School Football team. Ray got his GED in the service. 
  In 1947 at age 15 Ray Champoux joined the Marine Corp Reserve. He served two years as a Pfc. In 1949 Ray joined the US Air Force in Providence, Rhode Island. He went to Radio School in Boloxi, Mississippi. He attended Language School at Syracuse University, Syracuse, New York. He attended Intelligence School in Colorado, and was assigned to the Penegon in Washington, D.C.
   
   
  S/Sgt. Raymond ¡°Ray¡± Louis Champoux total service time was 8 years. He received the Sharp Shooters Metal and the Good Conduct Metal.
   
   
  Ray was in the Restaurant business after he got out of the Service.
  In 1954 Ray was 21 when he married his first wife. Ray does not remember that wives name. They were only married one year. Ray was going to Electrical Engineering School in Angola, Indiana. To that union one son Raymond Louis Champoux was born in 1955 in Angola, Steuben County, Indiana.
   
   
  Ray Champoux second wives name was Alice. To this union 6 children were born.
   
   
  Rays 3rd wife Joan worked for him in Newport, Rhode Island. To that union they had 2 children.
   
   
  Ray Champoux 4th wife is Wanda Ward/ Champoux They both worked for Pizza Inn Inc. Wanda Ward Champoux was the Granddaughter of Jesse James Ward a Circuit Rider Baptist Minister. He founded the first Church in Duncan, Oklahoma The Immanuel Baptist church.
   
   
  Ray Champoux received a BS & BA Degree in Business Administration from Bryant College, Provindence, Rhode Island.
   
   
  Mr. Raymond ¡°Ray¡± Louis Champoux was Vice President of Franchise Services for Pizza Inn Inc.
   
   
  Ray was living in Duncan, Oklahoma before he moved to the Lawton/ Fort Sill Veterans Center. Ray is a fairly new resident at our VA Center. If you have not met S/Sgt. Champoux you will want to meet him and make him feel welcome and at home. Let¡¯s give S/Sgt. Raymond Louis Champoux a big Lawton, Oklahoma Salute and thank him for his service to our country. 
   
   
  Ray Champoux has 10 grandchildren and 14 Great Grandchildren.
   
   
  Ray¡¯s father Ovila Champoux served his Country in the US Army during World War 11 until he was wounded in battle in France.
   
   
  Grandfather George Champoux served in the US Army in World War 1. Ray is of French Nationality.
