Subject: [ROOTS-L] Medical Schools/Training - Pennsylvania

Does anybody know of a comprehensive database for medical school graduates that would have obtained their training in the early 1800s in Eastern Pennsylvania?  I am looking for the record of a Dr Samuel L. Coble, physician and surgeon and have had no success by checking with the large Philadelphia and Baltimore medical school libraries that have roots back to that time period.  Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.
