Hi All,

I'm not sure I'm writing the appropriate list, but here goes in hopes
someone can give me some insight. I have a cousin who is interred in the
San Francisco National Cemetery. Information given is his name, location
details, last position within the US Navy and date that he died. I have
also discovered elsewhere that he was in WWI. He died when his daughter was
about 5. She is now in her 90's, very frail and would very much like to
obtain as much of his military history documentation as possible as she
remembers almost nothing about her Dad. We have submitted the appropriate
form with what little information we had. What we are lacking is day of
birth - we have month and year - the date that he joined the Navy - I can
come up with an approximate year - and his military ID number. We received
a letter back from the military personnel records center in St. Louis
telling us that they didn't have enough to locate his records. I find this
kind of hard to believe as the name is rather unusual: Jared Konizeski.
Not very many Konizeski's around and I can count the number in the WWI
military on just a couple of fingers. Any help locating a military ID or
suggestions would be most appreciated.

Shirley
