Subject: [ROOTS-L] Looking for Sam in California

I descended from Archibald C. Spears 1st and Elizabeth Remilison Sapp who 
were married in Georgia
in about 1794.  They were the parents of six children all born in Bibb or 
Twiggs Counties in Georgia.
On 6 September 2002 I unexpectedly received an E-mail from Sam (unknown). 
He said he lived in
California, said his first name was Sam,  and that he  was a descendant of 
Archibald C. Spears and Elizabeth Remilison Sapp.

After  a few days of unavoidable delay I answered Sam's E-mail and told him 
about my pleasure in making this contact and that I was anxious to exchange 
information.   I have been unable to make contact since
that time in September  2002.

Sam's last name may not have been Spears.  He may have descended from one of 
the four female children born to Archibald and Elizabeth.  Those four 
females were:

Elizabeth, who married John Powell Jr. on 14 November 1819.
Remillicent, who married Amos Horton in about 1817.
Patsy, who married Hezekiah McKinney in about 1817.
 Patience, who married Ben Barnes Sr. in about 1824.

Any help in locating Sam, or any suggestions as to methods I may use in 
finding Sam, would be appreciated.
