Subject: [ROOTS-L] Joseph Emeraus Weaver in IN

Joseph Emeraus Weaver was named father of Arthur Edmund Weaver. I have
little on Joseph other than he was born early enough to have fathered Arthur in
either 1876 or 1886...censuses differ and in Iowa. His father was born in
Indiana and his mother in Ohio..

In 1885, Arthur was 9 years old and living in District 1, Des Moines, Des
Moines, Polk Co., IA. I tried to find this indexed item in the 1885 census on
Ancestry.com but came up empty.
I'm quite sure he must have been with at least his father.
I need to have someone check the actual 1885 State census for Iowa, Des
Moines, Des Moines...[sic]
And if anyone is familiar with this branch of the Weaver family in Indiana
please contact me. With a middle name like "Emeraus," surely Joseph will
stand out on someone's tree.

I couldn't find them in 1900 or in 1910 but found Arthur with his wife
Florence in 1920 and 1930. Arthur died 11 April 1932 in Chester, Liberty Co.,
Montana. He was a musician and a typesetter so perhaps there is an obit, as
well.

Shirley Maynard
