Thanks I would appreciate the image of John Utley which might be Thomas's father. THe 1860 census is Thomas M Utley/Uttley who was living with the Walters then. I am wondering if they were a relative of Thomas because later after he married M. Rebecca Junkin they name one of their children Harry Walters Uttley /Utley.
Thomas's father would have to been born about 1812 or so as Thomas was born around 1835/36.
Thanks for the imput.
Joyce

These are the Utleys in Mifflin Co in 1850 it looks like maybe brothers with two young children

William Utley Newton Hamilton, Mifflin, PA abt 1815 Pennsylvania

Now John Utley has a child of the age of Thomas, Margaret does not. I tried all the variants and searched Utl* and only get the same suspects for 1850. I have saved the John utley image if you want it.

I would appreciate a look up of the Uttley family in the 1850 census. I am researching my Junkin ancestors.
I would like to find out more information on Thomas Utley and his family and parents who are unknown.
Thomas Utley/Uttley was born about 1835 in Mifflin County PA to unknown parents. He became a lawyer.
Thomas married Margaret Rebecca Junkin in 1861 in McVeytown Mifflin CO PA. Rebecca was born about 1836 in Mifflin CO PA to Andrew Junkin and Margaret Willis.
    Children:
    John Phillip died 1876
    Harry Walters
    Thomas V
    William Willis
    Ira Junkin
IN 1850 Thomas would have been about 14 . I am seeking information on who his parents were. His father might have been William UTTLEY/UTLEY or John UTTLEY/Utley.

1860 Thos living with HJ Walters and Henrietta.
1870 THomas and family living in Mifflin. Margaret Junkin living with them
    1880 listed as T M Utley
    1900
1910 Still practicing law Son Ira Junkin living with them

I would appreciate if someone would look up William UTLEY/UTTLEY or John UTLEY/UTTLEY of Mifflin CO PA or a county near by. I use Heritage Quest but they do not have 1850 index.
    Thanks
    Joyce
