Subject: [ROOTS-L] general question

This may sound a bit odd, but here goes:

My husband and I are traveling to Ohio (Lebanon, Warren County) in October to do some genealogy research on my paternal line (Collins). When we head to the county courthouse, I'll be searching for a marriage record for my great-great-great-grandparents (William A. Collins & Martha Jane {Conrey} Collins). I'd like to find a death certificate for both of them as well. But is there any other records in the courthouse that I should be looking for? For instance, there was a Cowan & Collins carpentry business that was run by William A. Collins and a partner - don't know the partner's name (aside from his last name of Cowan, of course!). Would a business license or something of that sort be on file at the courthouse? And would I be able to find it without knowing anything else about the business except it's name and it was located in Lebanon, Ohio?

Thanks for any helpful input anyone can give me.

Cathy (Collins) Wesemann
