If memory serves, not too long ago there was an historical question about a
dead body somewhere out west.  Some folks claimed the body was Jesse James
and others declared it was not.  The problem was solved because Jesse's
mother had left her DNA (mitochondrial) because Jesse's father had left none
of his.  So, trace Mother's family from her and Father's family from him.
