I think you need to look at this question from the standpoint of the two
girls who were adopted.

First, if they were never told they were adopted and grew up thinking their
adoptive parents were their biological parents -- what a shocker at age 60
plus to be told by a stranger that they were adopted. Depending on their health
condition it could be very detrimental to their well being.

Second, if they were told that they were adopted but had decided to not
pursue finding their biological parents, they might not appreciate being
contacted.

Of course, there is a third scenario in which they have been trying to trace
their biological parents and would welcome hearing from you. But there's a
good chance that sometime during the 60 some years they would have made
contact.

My personal choice would be to duly note the facts in your genealogy records
but do nothing to attempt to trace or find these two ladies.

I guess I need some moral advice. Should I provide more
information in an attempt to contact the girls so I can
provide their mother's (my grandmother) ancestry and
some info? Or is it better to let them try to find out
themselves if they're interested?
