<< letter written in 1947 from a person to my grandmother. >> that's
almost sixty year ago! Envelope to show the postmark? or does the letter
indicate the return address or at least the town?

<< letter gives the first names the adoptive parents gave the girls. >>
Not sure how to use this info unless you also have the last name of the
adoptive parents.

Any idea where the grandmother was living in 1946/47? Not that it means the
place she gave birth -

<< need some moral advice. >> After sixty years I don't think it would
matter that anyone in the family knows about the births .... the
circumstances may have been such that any one of us would have done the
same. But it could possibly make a difference in health matter (genetics)
of the offspring of the girls -

>> two girls >> any indication if they were twins? or if the girls were
born within a year of two of each other?

If I read your e-mail correctly, you don't know who or where the girls are
but would like to find them? My suggestion if by all means - if you can.
Remember that at the youngest they will be sixty + years old.

<< Should I provide more information >> to whom would you provide
additional information ---

I see some possibilities - and remember that it is more than likely that
these births were no secret within the family ... and also remember that
even when the contemporaries are deceased, they very well and most likely
told the secret to one or more of their own children. So clues, if not
actual information, may well be available within the family circle.
