Subject: [ROOTS-L] Ancestry World Tree project

The point in putting our family tree on-line is to share information with other researchers. Our efforts will hopefully benefit many as we benefit from the efforts of others. That is the simple truth. I am quite greatful for the efforts made by others. You can still access the WFT on Rootsweb which is a free site. I don't think that anyone is happy about the rising cost of research, but when considered, it is the price we all have to pay and we all have the choice. I for one will continue.

So I uploaded my tree. Little did I know I was giving them information that I and others would soon have to pay big bucks for. I did not feel good about that. If Ancestry World tree project, as it is now called, was going to make money off of us, they ought to have paid for the information we sent.
