Subject: [ROOTS-L] Hezekiah Wilcox

I am looking for Hezekiah Wilcox who lived in Minisink, Orange County, New
York around 1760. I am looking for the older Hezekiah, possibly the father
of Amos Wilcox.

Many people think that William Wilcox from Stonington, Connecticut is the
father of Amos Wilcox. I have been to Connecticut and viewed the birth
record of William Wilcox and Elizabeth Main Brown. Amos Wilcox is not one
of their children.

Some printed records list Amos as the child of William and Elizabeth, but he
is not on the birth record. Amos is buried in Minisink and the folks in
Minisink say that Hezekiah is his father.
