Subject: [ROOTS-L] unknown webb search

I'm researching my husbands line and have reached a brick wall. Here is the info I have from current date to past......
  Alexis S Webb b. 5/26/1996 IN, her father
  Billy D. Webb   b. 12/30/1953 MS his father
  Thomas B. Webb b. 1923 MS his father
  Perry Maston Webb b. MS  his father
  James A. Webb   b. 11/14/1897 Tuscaloosa Co., AL  his father
  Henry Maston Webb b. 1885 Tuscaloosa Co., AL     his father
  James Buford Webb b. 1829 Tuscaloosa Co, AL       his father
  Jeptha B. Webb, b. 1801 North Carolina                   his father
   
  this is where i lose the trail......it lists Jeptha's parents both being born in NC. This information is also in our family bible. 
  Could someone please advise me where to go from here to look? I tried pulling up Jeptha in the census records in NC but no matches, also looked in NC births etc
  any help would be appreciated. thanks
