War Pension files are on Heritage Quest. Check with your local library to see if they have HQ. Many libraries allow at home access to the HQ census and books and pension files if you have a library card and just imput your barcode number. These pension files can be viewed on microfilm at some libraries and the NARA regional centers. You might want to check at www.dar.org for a list of patriots people have joined the DAR by tracing their ancestry back to the individuals listed.
