Subject: [ROOTS-L] Isaac William Noe 1827 - ca 1885 Disappeared while traveling.

Isaac William Noe born in 1827 left Jeffersonville, Clark County, Indiana by
train sometime in 1885 to go to Greenland, Colorado to visit his son Isaac
Jegirtha Noe and his wife Jennie T. Crain Noe and family. Isaac never made
it to Greenland. Isaac was alone as his wife had died several years before
and he was wanting to see his son.

I know this is a long-shot but I am hoping someone read a newspaper account
of a stranger that died on the train or something to that effect. His
descendants would like to find where he is buried.

Has anyone read anything about a man disappearing during a railroad trip
through the states of Illinois, Missouri, Kansas or Colorado about the time
of 1885? I am hoping a newspaper article might have mention of him but of
course, I don't' know if his name would have been used. He may have not had
any identification on him.

Thanks for reading my query.
Jeannie Noe Carlisle
