In one case an ancestor was known as Susan BECKER AKA Anna BAKER. Her brother is Levi BECK, sometime later referred to as BECKER. Does one use BECK for her initially, since this was the original surname; or does one use BECKER & add that BECK is the original family surname in the notes? She was Susan BECKER also known as Anna BAKER B. 7 Oct. 1820 in York Co., D. 21 Nov. 1885 in her residence on York St., Hanover, PA. She was married to William TRONE B. 29 Mar. 1819 in York Co., PA and D. Mar. 29, 1876 in Hanover Borough, PA. If anyone else is following this family, please contact me. I am also curious about the maiden name of William's mother Elizabeth. Elizabeth was married to Jacob THROM/THRON/THRAN/TRANE/THRONE/TRONE B. 1788 D. 1858.
