Subject: [ROOTS-L] Koekemoer Family in South Africa

Am trying to gather what ever snippets of information there might be about the family into a history book for my grandchildren on the Koekemoer Family.
What the stamvader did for VOC?
Who the family trekked with (which leader)?
What battle sites did the family feature in?
What they did for a living particularly when they were in the Natal area?
As much as I would love the whole story I know it's not going to be likely so I want to make the history alive for the grandkids to be proud of their heritage. We live in New Zealand now so it's even harder and help would be so greatly appreciated.
