I would like to know the source of this information. For some reason
as I was reading, the word scam came to mind. I have no reason why I
think this, other than instinct. I copied and pasted the links in the
post into an AOL email to see the URL (I wanted to see what address
would come up; a common internet scam uses real-looking titles to
links that don't take you to the site the link says it will but
instead takes you to a scammers site). On AOL when there's a link in
an email, all you have to do is put the cursor over the link and the
URL will appear; you can then compare the URL that shows up in the pop
up window with the title of the link in the email to see if there are
commonalities. A nice way to help safeguard your internet account,
though unfortunately not foolproof. Gmail does not offer this feature
:(. Anyway, it appears that the links in this post take you to
http://ancestry.com. When I plugged that into my browser it did take
me to ancestry.com, then promplty I got kicked offline. Probably a
coincidence, but I rarely get booted offline. Anyway, I'd love to see
a source. Thanks.
