Don't ever underestimate the power of blogging :). I've been blogging
for a year now and have had no less than 3 distant cousins find it and
email me with information and friendship; I've had 4 to 5 other
cousin connections made through the ones that found me! I don't put
everything on my blog (though my current one is the most comprehensive
I've ever had in terms of surnames posted on it), so people who email
me claiming a connection generally need to have something in their
email that I don't have posted so that I know it's a legit email
connection and not a scam (I'm getting suspicious in the internet
age!). Anyway, go blogging. And feel free to add a link to my blogs
to yours :).

Which reminds me, if you have any funny idiosyncrasies of genealogy
research that you want to share, I need more posts to my Only in
Genealogy blog (www.onlyingenealogy.blogspot.com!).
