Subject: [ROOTS-L] Legality in making a family history book

Hi-------sorry if I'm on the wrong site, but have a very important question that needs answering and don't know where else to post this message.

Am planning on making a family history book and would like to make it up for selling to the family members.

My question is do I need permission from the people who's name will be listed in this family history book ????????????

All I will be doing is putting their names in as daughters, son of whomever.

Is their anything illegal about doing this??? besides making the book not accurate.

I have had a request from some family members who wish their names left out.

I have had my name put in a family history book and NO one asked my permission including my marriage and children.

Thanks for your help
Dee
