Thanks so much, Sharon, for checking this for me.  I find that Fred 
Hampton's wife, Mary, indicates she's a "widow" on 1920 census with 3 
sons, age 18, 16 & 14, so presume Fred died...unless there was a 
divorce and she didn't say so.  I've heard sometimes women said they 
were "widows" instead of being divorced.  I'll do some more checking 
to see if I can find any death records for a Fred Hampton, somewhere. 
 Are divorce records usually published or are they something that 
would have to be checked thru civil court actions, etc. @ the court 
house?
