Subject: [ROOTS-L] Social Security Numbers

To Joan: I found that information about the transferring SS numbers from one state to another on a Social Security site several months ago. My husband never worked outside of this county. He grew up on a farm, worked with his dad in farming, was in partnership with his Dad in farming until 1961. When we moved from the ranch, he still farmed, worked for local farmers, for a locally-owned lumber company or for Walla Walla County. It took me maybe 30 minutes to find that information about the transferred numbers. Mary P.
